1. What CTH Tokens are
- 1a.CTH Tokens are an on-site reward currency linked to your account.
- 1b.They are designed to reward genuine activity and let members unlock optional shop items without needing a donation for every perk.
- 1c.Your current spendable balance is shown in the CTHub Shop.
2. How tokens are earned
- 2a.Tokens are awarded per recorded event, not from a single global contribution rate.
- 2b.Different contribution types can award different amounts, including edits, comments, photos, important notes, parking guidance, map pins, reactions received, and upvotes received.
- 2c.Current earning rates are: @foreach($tokenEarningSettings as $settingKey => $setting)
- {{ '2'.chr(100 + $loop->index).'.' }}{{ $setting['label'] }}: {{ number_format(\App\Models\SiteSetting::cthTokenEarningValue($settingKey)) }} CTH Tokens @endforeach
- 2z.Staff may also adjust token balances when needed, for example for corrections, events, rewards, or moderation-related reasons.
3. Where tokens can be used
- 3a.Tokens are spent in the CTHub Shop.
- 3b.The shop includes your token balance, current cart, inventory, and purchase history.
- 3c.Availability can vary by item, category, duration, and account role.
4. What tokens can be used for
- 4a.Examples include username flair, avatar shadow access, profile banner access, username colour access, username change credits, donor-only reaction access, and other profile or community perks.
- 4b.Some items unlock access for a limited time, such as 30 days or 1 month per purchase.
- 4c.If an item allows multiple quantities, buying more than one at checkout can stack the duration or number of uses for that perk.
- 4d.Some shop items may also provide access that would otherwise come from donator status.
5. Important things to know
- 5a.Token balances, active perks, and past purchases are tied to your account.
- 5b.If a timed perk expires, access returns to the normal site rules unless you still have donator access or purchase that perk again.
- 5c.Shop items can change over time, including pricing, categories, durations, and availability.
