Site rules
Read the main conduct, content, and feature-use rules for CTHub.
1. Be respectful
- 1a.No harassment, threats, hate speech, bullying, or deliberately abusive behaviour.
- 1b.Disagreements are fine, but personal attacks, baiting, and hostile pile-ons are not.
- 1c.Do not post content intended to embarrass, dox, intimidate, or target another person.
2. Keep information accurate
- 2a.Dealership edits, comments, notes, parking guidance, and location details should be truthful, relevant, and based on genuine knowledge or experience.
- 2b.Do not knowingly post false information, misleading warnings, fake closures, invented restrictions, or copied rumours presented as fact.
- 2c.If you are unsure, say so clearly instead of presenting uncertain information as confirmed.
3. Use comments and visitor messages properly
- 3a.Comments and visitor messages should stay relevant to the page, the member, or the topic being discussed.
- 3b.No spam, repeated self-promotion, nonsense posting, or flooding threads/messages.
- 3c.Do not use profile posts or comments to harass staff, chase disputes across the site, or provoke other members.
4. Photo and upload rules
- 4a.Only upload photos you are allowed to use and that are appropriate for the site.
- 4b.Do not upload illegal content, explicit material, private documents, someone else’s sensitive personal data, or images intended to shame individuals.
- 4c.Keep uploads relevant to dealerships, transport operations, parking/access guidance, or legitimate community use of the platform.
5. Accounts and identity
- 5a.Use one genuine account for your own participation unless staff explicitly approve otherwise.
- 5b.Do not impersonate another person, company, dealership, moderator, or member of staff.
- 5c.Do not create accounts to evade restrictions, bans, rate limits, moderation actions, or feature gating.
6. Use site features in good faith
- 6a.Reports should only be used for genuine rule issues, safety concerns, abuse, or content that needs moderator review.
- 6b.Likes, votes, ratings, watches, and other engagement features must not be manipulated through fake accounts, coordinated abuse, or automated behaviour.
- 6c.Do not scrape, spam, probe, attack, or automate the site in ways that harm performance, bypass controls, or undermine security.
7. Privacy and sensitive information
- 7a.Do not post private phone numbers, personal email addresses, home addresses, staff rotas, access codes, or other sensitive information unless it is clearly appropriate and lawful to share.
- 7b.If a detail could expose someone personally or create a safety risk, leave it out or contact staff instead.
- 7c.Respect profile privacy settings and do not try to pressure other members into sharing private details.
8. Rules shaped by CTHub features
- 8a.Dealership pages: keep edits factual and operationally useful. Do not use them for grudges, review-bombing, or unrelated complaints.
- 8b.Parking guidance and important notes: these are high-impact features for drivers, so accuracy matters. Guesswork, joke entries, or stale warnings presented as current may be removed.
- 8c.Questions and answers: keep responses helpful and on-topic. Repeated low-value or misleading answers may be moderated.
- 8d.Visitor messages and profile interaction: use them for normal community interaction, not targeted abuse, spam, or public call-outs.
- 8e.Locations and maps: only add locations that are real, relevant, and safe to publish. Do not add misleading pins or sensitive sites that should not be public.
- 8f.Awards, reactions, and contribution systems: do not manipulate these systems through fake activity, trading reactions, or self-boosting behaviour.
9. Forum rules
- 9a.Keep forum threads in the correct category and use clear thread titles that match the topic.
- 9b.Stay on topic within each thread. If the conversation changes direction, start a new thread instead of derailing the existing one.
- 9c.Do not post duplicate threads, bump threads repeatedly for attention, or flood the forum with low-value replies.
- 9d.When replying to or quoting another post, keep quotes relevant and do not edit them in a misleading way.
- 9e.Do not use the forum to advertise, recruit, sell, or self-promote unless the post is clearly allowed by staff or by the category rules.
- 9f.Follow moderator instructions in forum threads. Threads or replies may be edited, moved, locked, or removed to keep the forum readable and useful.
